Traditional families
Traditional families are characterized by a family model that has been widely recognized and prevalent in many cultures throughout history.
Although the concept of the traditional family has varied according to time, geography and social customs, there is a commonly accepted structure that can be defined in general terms.
Defined Gender Roles: In traditional families, gender roles are often clearly differentiated. Traditionally, the father is the main provider, working outside the home to support the family financially.
Hierarchical Structure: In many traditional families, the structure is hierarchical, with parents as authority figures and children under their care and supervision.
Traditional families continue to be a mainstay in many societies, but are undergoing transformations due to changes in gender roles, social structures and technology. Although some of the traditional dynamics remain, many families are adopting new ways of living together and adapting to the circumstances of the modern world.
